75th Annual June Invitational

The 2026 June Invitational was a huge success. The new feature on Friday evening – the Pill Pusher Par 3 (a.k.a – the PPP3) in honor of Jerry Stanley had 54 participants. The winning team with a score of 25 (2 under par) was the team of Dennis Biddy, Brody Ingram and Stan Weiss. The second place team of Chris Jeffrey and Invitational participants Zach Cravens and Brett Townsend shot a 26 (1 under par). That evening Mike English provided entertainment on the new stage near the patio. ECC Member Stan Sellers joined Mike for a couple of songs.

It takes a lot of employees as well as volunteer hours to make this event happen. We appreciate our volunteers – Mary Barrows, Jim Bonner, Ricky Huner, Charles Irvin, Bennett Junkin, Len Sparks, and Jerry Stanley. Tony and his crew received many compliments on the course conditions. The Clubhouse staff under the leadership of Mackenzie Jenkins kept all of the indoor activities running smoothly. We appreciate all of members who supported the various events.

A special thanks to Ben Garrison who kept the Calcutta event running smoothly and completed in record time. While it was going on, members enjoyed DJ Hendock who provided a variety of music on the patio until 10 pm.

There were 86 golfers playing this year which required 9 Flights. The results were as follows:

Championship A Flight – 1st Place – Zach Shellnut (140); 2nd Place – Brody Ingram (145); 3rd Place– Kevin Thompson (147).

Championship B Flight – 1st Place – Paul Eriksen (155); 2nd Place – Jay Lockwood and Donnie Russell (160 –Tied).

First Flight – 1st Place – Jackson Parker (164); 2nd Place – Mike Childers, Jeremy Sanders and Trey Washington (167 – Tied).

Second Flight – 1st Place – Anthony Shepherd (168); 2nd Place – Andrew Finlayson, Gage Golden and Derek Thomas (169 -Tied).

Third Flight – 1st Place – Todd Clements (171); 2nd Place - Sammy Wiggins (177); 3rdPlace – Stan Sellers (180).

Fourth Flight – 1st Place – Jake Andrews (185); 2nd Place – Donnie Ezell(186);

3rd Place – Brett Townsend (187);

Senior Division – 1st Place – Jay Jaxon(152); 2nd Place – Garry Garrison (154); 3rd Place - Gordon Gardner (157).

Senior First Flight – 1st Place – Charles Irvin (163); 2nd Place – Tod Singleton, Sr. (167); 3rdPlace -Mike Lee (170).

Super Senior Division – 1st Place – Wayne Woodham (151); 2nd Place – Roger Watson (158); 3rd Place– Jim Fussell (162).
