Independence Day Holiday Scramble 2026

18 Teams Participate in Independence Day Holiday Scramble

Since July 4th was on a Saturday, the Independence Day Scramble was held on Friday, July 3rd.   We appreciate the support of the 71 golfers who participated.

The results were as follows:

First Flight – 1st Place – Brody, Chris, Kaden Ingram and Ben Garrison with a score of 56.

First Flight – 2nd Place – Ricky, Richard, Will Huner and Bailey Nixon who also shot a 56, but had to settle for second place due to regression.

First Flight – 3rd Place – Gordon Gardner, Ben and Sam Smith and Wayne Woodham with a 57.

Second Flight – 1st Place – John Dansby, Tony Robertson and Roger Watson.  They had to play using a Bubba since they were short one player and they shot a 60.

Second Flight -  2ndPlace – Jim Bonner, Paul Holley, Charles Irvin and Len Sparks with a 61.

Second Flight – 3rd Place – Ben, Jacob, Matt Jackson and Ben Restivo who also shot a 61, but had to settle for 3rd place due to the regression hole of #11.

Third Flight – 1st Place - Bryan Bratcher, Logan Grubbs, Auston and Alex Welsh shot a 64.

Third Flight  - 2ndPlace – Tom Davis, Carla Moring, Charlie Schaeffer and Paul Voors with a 65.

Third Flight – 3rd Place – Jaxon Davis, Donnie Ezell, Cary Priest and Peyton Reeves also shot a 65, but the regression hole was not their friend.

As always, events like this are not possible without the efforts of volunteers. We appreciate Mary Barrows, Jim Bonner, Ricky Huner, Charles Irvin, Len Sparks and Jerry Stanley for organizing the event and for parking carts afterwards.  Ricky’s family members Will Huner and Bailey Nixon also chipped in and assisted with returning carts to the barn.  Tony and his crew had the course in great shape and we appreciate their efforts as well.  The Clubhouse kitchen and serving staff provided a delicious meal and excellent service to our members and guests.  ‘

The next golf tournament will be the Bobby Bradley Memorial Tournament scheduled for the weekend of July 25/26.  Details and Sign-Up sheets are in the ProShop.
