2nd Annual Bobby Bradley Memorial Tournament

There were 34 Three-Person Teams participating in the Bobby Bradley Memorial Tournament on the weekend of July 25th and 26th. The field of 102 golfers was a large increase from last year’s inaugural event. There was great support from ECC members with 33 participating. There were 8 Bradley family members with their guests and many golfers were from the Alabama/Florida Golf Association. All in all it was a huge success. The Bradley family initiated this tournament to honor and remember Bobby Bradley who served many years as Club Manager and Golf Pro and later as a long time member of ECC. All proceeds are used for the golf course. We appreciate the family for choosing to support our Club in this way. Winners were as follows:

Championship Flight –

1st Place - Daniel Davis, Zac Shellnut and Trevor Wiley with a two day total of 115.

2nd/3rd Place Tie – Kyle Lutz, Ryan Presley and Hunter Watson tied with Parker Harrelson, Easton McKelvey and Powell Bane. Both teams shot a 117.

First Flight –

1st Place – Stan Sellers and Jason and Jared Helmke shot a 121.

2nd Place – Ricky Huner, BJ Williams and Chase Whitehead with a 124

3rd and 4th Place Tie – Paul Eriksen, Gordon Gardner and Brantley Weeks and the team of Matt Hamm, Tim Grandberry and Ryan Muccio with a 125.

Second Flight –

1st Place – Jeremy Hurst, Jimmy Hurst, and another member of the Hurst Family

2nd/3rd Place Tie – Dennis Biddy, Tom Davis and Charlie Schaeffer and Hunter Jones, Alex Adams and Andrew Johnson both shot a 129.

Third Flight

1st Place – Chris Jeffrey, Anthony Sheppard and Trey Washington shot a 135

2nd/3rd Tie – James Stamey, Trent Fussell and Wesley Fussell tied with David Bruce, Matt Murphy and Nathan Bruce with a score of 136

In addition to the Flight winners there were 4 Closest to the Pin winners.

Hunter Jones – Closest to the Pin on #13 on Saturday

Charles Irvin – Closest to the Pin on #2 on Saturday

Kyle Lutz – Closest to the Pin on #2 on Sunday

Closest to the Pin on #13 on Sunday was won by one of our guests.

Also, one of or golfing guests won $330 in the 50/50 Raffle and the other $330 went towards the golf course.

We appreciate all of our members and non-members who participated. Thanks to Ricky Huner and his crew – Mary Barrows, Jim Bonner, Charles Irvin, Len Sparks and Jerry Stanley for keeping everything running as smoothly as possible. Those of you who were there know about the dramatic incidents that took place each day.

We also are grateful to the Bradley family members who proposed this idea last year and who generously donate all profits to the Club. No one won the Hole-In-One pot, so that will carry over to next year and start at $850.
