2026 Memorial Day Golf Scramble

Record Numbers Participate in Memorial Day Scramble The weather was perfect for this year’s Memorial Day 4-Person Scramble. There were 20 teams of 4 golfers each. Winners were as follows: First Flight 1st Place - Chris, Brody and Kaden Ingram and Anthony Sheppard with a score of 57. 2nd Place – Gordon Gardner, Ben and Sam Smith and Wayne Woodham with a score of 58. 3rd Place – Andrew Finlayson, Garry Garrison, Cole and Jackson Parker with a score of 60. This team won by regression from Hole #4 over four other teams with the same score.
Second Flight 1st Place – Brent Blalock, Jim Fussell, Tim Foshee and Stan Sellers with a 61. 2nd Place – Taylor Gover, Brantley Weeks, Brooks Weeks and Auston Welsh who also shot a 61, but had to settle for second place by regression. 3rd Place – Annie, Cooper, Davis and Richard Wingate with a 62. Third Flight 1st Place – Ben, Jacob and Matt Jackson and Alan Wells who shot a 65. 2nd Place – Cameron Mims and his friends Dillon Gilley, Tyler Hicks and James Jones with a score of 67. 3rd Place – Clayton Gilmore, Chase Wright and friends Carlton Drinkwater and Kyle Helms with a score of 68.
The 50/50 Raffle winner was Matt Jackson, He won $250 and the Golf Association was able to add $250 to its treasury. We appreciate all who supported this effort by purchasing the tickets.
We appreciate the efforts of our Golf Association Officers – Ricky Huner, Jerry Stanley and Mary Barrows. Also, their loyal workers – Jim Bonner, Paul Holley, Charles Irvin, and Len Sparks. Tony and his crew had the course in great shape. We also appreciate all of the members who provided their own carts which allowed us to have such a large field. The Club does have 5 more carts coming to be added to our fleet, but we could not have managed a field of this size without the help of members providing their extra carts.
