2026 Australian Open Court Sports Event
As usual cool temps were around for the 2026 Australian Open Court Sports event. There were 5 tennis players and 5 pickle ballers. President William Treichel thought it was a good idea to copy the real Australian Open's One Point Tournament. He had hoped for more participation, but decided to go with the numbers that braved the cold temps. The brackets were determined by blind draw and the servers were determined by playing Rock, Paper, Scissors. Brad Moore was the winner of the One Point Tennis Tournament and Harry Snead was the winner of the One Point Pickleball Tournament. Seventeen members gathered in the Bar afterwards for a meal of Shrimp on the Barbi, sidewinder potatoes, salad and Lamingtons for dessert. We thank William for organizing the event and we appreciate those who braved the cold temps to participate.
